Explanation
This work captures the phenomenon known as "fingering" that occurs in a narrow space. The images are created by rotating them at regular intervals and layering them together. Furthermore, the flames, originally orange in color, have been color-corrected to appear vivid purple by adjusting the color balance. The flames appear to swirl and create a pattern resembling a Japanese tomoe.

Explanation
gOpen Sesame" is a spell to open the door of the rock where the thief hid his treasure in the story "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" from "One Thousand and One Nights" (Arabian Nights). In the photograph, a jet diffusion flame splits clearly to the left and right, like a door opening. This work is about blast extinguishment: a blast wave generated by the detonation of micro explosive (20 mg) interfere with a methane-air jet diffusion flame formed by a circular tube burner (inner diameter 2.8 mm, outer diameter 3.2 mm). As a result, Richtmyer-Meshkov instability occurs, and the flame behavior is observed in the extinguishing process as shown in the picture. In this photograph, the micro-explosive was placed at the back of the flame, and the blast wave propagated from the back of the image to the front. From behind the open of the flaming door, we will surely obtain a novel firefighting method against earthquake fires and large forest fires.
