6th ASIA-PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON COMBUSTION
(ASPACC 07)

Nagoya Congress Center, Nagoya, Japan
May 20-23, 2007

The Australia/New Zealand, Chinese, Chinese Taipei, Japanese and Korean Sections of the Combustion Institute

Organized by the Japanese Section of the Combustion Institute

BACKGROUND

One decade has passed since the Australia/New Zealand, Chinese, Chinese Taipei, Japanese and Korean Sections of the Combustion Institute agreed to hold biennial conferences on combustion in Asia and Pacific areas and held the first Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion in Osaka, Japan, May 12-15, 1997. This and the subsequent conferences held in Taiwan, Korea, China and Australia have been enjoying remarkable progresses in fundamental combustion research and its applications in these areas and have established a good interactive tradition which should be succeeded to another cycle starting next year. May 20-23 in 2007, the sixth Asian-Pacific Conference on Combustion, ASPACC07 will be organized by the Japanese Section of the Combustion Institute. The Indian Section of the Combustion Institute joins the leadership group from this conference.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

The objectives of the ASPACC07 will be to provide an excellent opportunity for combustion scientists and engineers to exchange new knowledge and information in the field. Therefore, technical papers are solicited on all aspects of combustion from basic science to practical applications, such as chemical kinetics, laminar flames, soot and PAH, coal combustion, spray combustion, turbulent combustion, PDE and supersonic combustion, fires, combustion modeling, engine combustion, micro-combustor and incineration. The topics on combustion diagnostics, material synthesis, numerical approaches and so on are also welcome.

CONFERENCE LOCATION

The ASPACC07 will be held at the Nagoya Congress Center which is easily accessible by subway or bus from the city center.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

The official language of the conference is English.

TECHNICAL PROGRAM

The technical program will be held on May 21 to 23, 2007. The program will consist of an opening plenary session, invited lectures and technical sessions. 150 or more technical papers in three parallel sessions are planned.

PAPER SUBMISSION AND SELECTION FOR PRESENTATION

In this conference, the abstract submission process which has been traditionally requested before the submission of a full paper will be quitted. Instead, information will be gathered from web-site/email questionnaire about your intention of attendance to ASPACC07 for the convenience of organizing the technical program in advance. Please submit your full-length paper electronically via the conference web site (http://www.combustionsociety.jp/aspacc07/index.html), following the submission format at the same web site. The maximum allowable length for a paper is four (4) pages including figures and tables.
